Returns & Refunds

At Familiar Magic, every order is packed with care, and many of our treasures are handmade, one of a kind, or created using natural and reclaimed materials.

I want you to love the little bit of magic you bring home. If something isn't quite right, here's how returns work.

14-Day Returns

I accept returns on eligible items within 14 days of delivery.

To qualify for a change-of-mind return:

Contact me within 14 days of receiving your order to request a return.
Items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original condition, with all accessories and components included.
Returns must be shipped within 7 days of return approval.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Please contact me before sending anything back so I can provide return instructions.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

For hygiene, personalization, or digital-delivery reasons, the following items are generally not eligible for change-of-mind returns:

Opened or used oils, balms, and personal care products
Custom-made or personalized items
Digital downloads
Items returned incomplete, used, or damaged after delivery

These exclusions do not affect your rights if an item is defective, damaged on arrival, incorrectly described, or otherwise protected by applicable consumer law.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact me as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery.

Include your order number and photographs of the item and packaging, if available.

I'll work with you to find an appropriate solution, which may include a replacement, repair, or refund depending on the circumstances.

Handmade & Natural Variations

Many Familiar Magic pieces feature genuine leather, wood, dried botanicals, natural stones, or reclaimed materials.

Subtle differences in colour, grain, texture, and finish are part of their individual character and are not necessarily defects.

One-of-a-kind products are photographed individually so you can see the actual piece you're purchasing.

Refunds

Once your return arrives and has been inspected, I'll let you know whether the refund has been approved.

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method, generally within 5 business days of approval. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process the refund.

If an item arrives damaged or defective, your applicable consumer rights will be honoured.

Return Shipping

For change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

I recommend using a tracked shipping service, as I cannot guarantee receipt of parcels sent without tracking.

For returns involving damaged, defective, or incorrect items, return shipping arrangements will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
