Welcome to Familiar Magic!

Familiar Magic is an independent, handmade business based in Ontario, Canada. By visiting familiarmagic.ca or placing an order, you agree to the following terms.

Please read them before purchasing.

1. Products & Handmade Nature

Familiar Magic offers handmade leather goods, miniature collectibles, botanical-inspired creations, ritual accessories, and other unique treasures.

Many items are one of a kind or made using natural, vintage, or reclaimed materials.

Minor variations in colour, texture, grain, and finish are part of their individual character. I make every effort to describe and photograph products accurately, although colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen.

Product availability, descriptions, and prices may change without notice.

2. Orders & Payments

All prices are displayed in the currency indicated at checkout.

Payments are processed through the secure payment methods available on the website.

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. I reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order for legitimate reasons, including inventory errors, suspected fraud, or an inability to fulfill the order.

If payment has already been collected for an order I cannot fulfill, it will be refunded.

3. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are shipped from Ontario, Canada.

Shipping charges and available delivery options are shown at checkout.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed. For details about processing times, carriers, international shipping, and delivery concerns, please review the Shipping Policy.

4. Returns & Refunds

Eligible items may be returned within 14 days of delivery, subject to the conditions outlined in the Return and Refund Policy.

Certain products, including personalized items, digital downloads, and opened personal care products, may not qualify for change-of-mind returns.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies available under applicable consumer protection laws.

5. Miniatures & Decorative Collectibles

Many Familiar Magic miniature creations contain small, delicate, removable, or breakable components.

These products are intended for decorative and collectible purposes and are not children's toys.

Please keep small parts away from young children and pets.

Handle glass, dried botanicals, miniature furniture, and other delicate components with care.

6. Botanical & Ritual Products

Familiar Magic may offer botanical-inspired products, aromatherapy items, and ritual accessories.

Descriptions involving magic, intentions, grounding, or rituals are intended for personal, spiritual, or decorative enjoyment.

These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions.

Always review product ingredients, directions, and safety information before use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

7. Website Content & Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, original product photography, descriptions, designs, branding, and other original creative content on familiarmagic.ca belong to Familiar Magic.

They may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.

Third-party names, trademarks, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Website Use

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to interfere with its security, operation, or functionality.

You are responsible for providing accurate information when placing an order.

9. Errors & Availability

Occasionally, the website may contain typographical errors, inaccurate information, or outdated availability.

I reserve the right to correct errors and update information. If an error materially affects an order you've already placed, I'll contact you to arrange an appropriate resolution.

10. Liability

Familiar Magic is not responsible for damage resulting from misuse, improper handling, or use contrary to product instructions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

11. Privacy

Customer information is handled according to the Privacy Policy published on this website.

Payment processing and certain website functions are provided through Shopify and associated service providers.

12. Changes to These Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically to reflect changes to the business, website, or applicable requirements.

The current version will be available on familiarmagic.ca.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Ontario and Canada, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the customer's jurisdiction.
